21 may - 9plus at night, took cab to golden mile comples, waited till 10plus, the coach proceed to the second malaysia n singapore link. The whole journey was 7 hours. wasn't able to sleep, coz there is uncle sitting opp me, snzoing away, something choking him or wat, frusting.
22 may -We went to my sis's friend's in-laws house to take a nap till 8am plus before going for breakfast. Ji jiong fan, prawn noodle, cha xiu bao, ha gao, luo mai gai and ice white coffee, shared with everyone. The Ji jiong fan is very different from sg version, very 'chewy', together with veggie,slices of fish cakes plus green chilli, all diferent suaces added. yummpy
After breakfast, we went to the
Gunang Lung (Eagle's Mount)Ipoh, like a nature reserve, where boat ride provided by Dewan Bandaraya Ipoh(DBI)for a fee.Later went to the
Perak Cave, where i bought a wishing candle and placed it in front of the Buddha.Perak Cave is located at Gunung Tasek and houses over 40 Buddha statues, has a steep, tall staircase in the interior of the cave rising up to the top of its hill . The statue of Buddha in Perak Cave is the tallest and largest of its kind in Malaysia.
Had lunch at old town coffee shop, ipoh hor fan, fried kay tiao, penang laska, another cup of ice white coffee.And also a new product, tempura durain. After lunch, we went to
Ipoh railway station, DR Seenirasagam park, a horse farm(juz view through the car windows)Went back to the house for home cooked dinner, Ayam tomato fish curry, pig's stomach soup, hainan chicken, some veggie with prawns and yellow water melon for dessert.
Watching the fear factor (yuck, chewing off insects from a tree to a weighing machine) before going to the night pasar malam. There's this uncle showning me some attiude when i throw rubbish into his shop's rubbish bin,..hmm stuipd. Finally rest time at
Syuen hotel23 May - Had breakfast at the hotel before doing some shopping at the nearby
Parkson Grand, juz across the road, 5 mins walk. 12plus, we went to the
Lata Kinjang , where we spent the whole afternoon there.First spot the at edge of the second water fall,later went up, to the edge of the first water fall.After such refreshing dip in the water fall, we went around buying local products;
Ipoh white coffee powder in packets, Ipoh fragant biscuit, Chicken biscuit, Pomelo. There one whole row of stalls selling pomelo, once you stop the car, the girls from each store will appear, something like taiwan Bin Lang Xi Shi, but in Ipoh is Pamelo Xi Shi,hee
Had beansprouts chicken for dinner,which consist of chicken meat,beansprouts boiled in hard water and served with soy sauce and sesame oil, and sotoballs, fish balls with hor fan soup base.Went back to hotel to start packing, 8plus went to Parkson Grand to finish out remaining ringgit.
24 may - Had breakfast at hotel, before going to the house, really thankful for their warm hospitally, specially my sis's friend's husband, driving us around ipoh for the past few days. 10am plus, we took the coach, on our way back to Sg...another long ride..6pm plus, finally reached the first link....
